LEO is a new technology that is used for permanent hair removal. The LEO is the first to use an “in-motion method”, gliding technique, which enables the treatment area to be worked on more precisely. The precise positioning of the handpiece is no longer necessary, because the new sliding technology represents a breakthrough in permanent hair removal. The LEO technology only uses a maximum of 50% of the melanin contained in the hair (unlike IPL and laser devices, which only use the melanin). In addition, LEO acts directly through the skin on the stem cells that produce the new hair.

The applicator glides over the same spot several times (6-8 times). This heats the tissue and at the same time multiple pulses of light are emitted at a rapid repetition rate. Tissue fluid and blood, which should not be heated, are kept away from the treatment zone by applying slight pressure when putting on the handpiece. This means that, in contrast to conventional devices, the stem cells are attacked and not primarily the melanin contained in the hair. The treatments are therefore less time-consuming, more efficient and side effects such as a checkerboard pattern or burns can be ruled out.
